Rotor Poles

At GPEA, our goal is to get your generator back online quickly and to provide a quality product. Damage due to a generator pole short will interrupt a unit’s service costing you daily. GPEA will supply a dedicated response team of highly trained test engineers, project management and site technicians to repair or replace the pole. Our team of engineers will evaluate the reason for the fault and work with you to find the swiftest solution to your immediate problem as well as help you understand why the pole failed in the first place. GPEA also manufactures OEM quality, custom spare poles.

Our field pole services include the design and manufacture of:

• Amortisseur bars
• Pole laminations
• End plates
• Field coils

GPEA designs and manufactures auxiliary components such as coil clamping solutions or ventilation fans. GPEA is also fully capable of testing to ensure that field poles are properly installed and tight to the rotor rim. Three piece key assemblies and/or pole machining may be necessary to properly reseat refurbished poles.
